Frightened Rabbit and the “Bring a Band to School” Program

Scotland’s Frightened Rabbit has released their second album “The Midnight Organ Fight,” and it may just save the anthem as we know it.

With great albums from Pete and the Pirates and Throw Me the Statue, it’s already been a good year for quirky, nervous pop-rock bands. Frightened Rabbit leaves behind some of the hesitancy of their last album and the lack of muscle among their peers, and comes up with a great record of accidental anthems. The lyrics may still be quite melancholic, but the rousing arrangements betray a band that has definitely found their groove. Recommended!

  1. I love this song! The out front vocals and the jangly guitars are appealing. No bass? It doesn’t miss it but I think I’m hearing some keys. I’ll be adding these guys to my regular rotation. Great find!

  2. These guys will be playing at the 400 Bar in Mpls on May 31st. Should be a good show!
